In the latest TV spot for the upcoming superhero flick, Shazam can be seen facing off against a giant dragon in the middle of the city.

We can also hear the superhero refer to the dragon as 'Khaleesi', a funny reference to Emilia Clarke's character from Game of Thrones, who also attacked and burned down a city in the series finale.

2019s Shazam is currently the second-best-rated movie in the DCEU and managed to gross over 350 million dollars worldwide.

In the sequel, Shazam will take on the Titans Hespera and her sister Kalypso played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu respectively.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods was originally supposed to hit the big screen this year in December but was pushed back to 2023 by the studio. This is most likely to avoid competition with James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water.

DC Studios is undergoing a complete reboot after James Gunn and Peter Safran took over and a lot of planned sequels have been scrapped, including Wonder Woman 3 and Man of Steel 2.

While many of the roles such as Super, Flash, and Aquaman will be recast, actor Zachary Levi has confirmed that he is a part of the new DC cinematic universe.

Shazam! 2 is among the last of the movies centered around the original DCEU line up with Aquaman 2 and The Flash movie being the others.

The Flash movie will serve as a reboot of the franchise and will serve as the final movie in the original DCEU lineup.

The movie will also be the last appearance of actor Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster, following the actor's abuse allegations.

Shazam! 2 boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu, Djimon Hounsou, and Helen Mirren.

SHAZAM! Fury of the Gods directed by David F. Sandberg will be the first to hit theaters on 17 March 2023.
