Sikandar: Varun Dhawan's niece Anjini Dhawan confirms working with Salman Khan; says, 'I have grown up being his biggest fan'

    In a recent interview, Anjini Dhawan confirmed her addition to Salman Khan's Sikandar and also said that she feels 'grateful'.

    In 2024, Varun Dhawan's niece Anjini Dhawan made her acting debut with Binny And Family alongside veteran actor Pankaj Kapur. Soon after the film was released in theatres, it was reported that she had bagged her second film. It seems like the reports were indeed true. She has joined Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna's Sikandar, which is being helmed by AR Murugadoss. In a recent interview, she confirmed her addition and also said that she feels 'grateful'.

    While speaking to HT City, Anjini said that she can finally talk about her addition to the film since the teaser is out now. She added that every time she enters the film' set, it is like a 'pinch me' moment for her. The actress said, "I could not be more grateful and thankful. Every time I enter the film’s set, I have to pinch myself and ask, is this real life or am I dreaming? Every single day is a pinch me moment."

    Further, she said that she has been Salman's 'biggest fan'. Anjini also revealed that she ends up watching Partner whenever she's having a bad day. She added, "I have grown up being his biggest fan. I have loved his films, especially the ones he and David (Dhawan, filmmaker and Anjini’s great uncle) sir have done together, from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) to Partner (2007), the latter being my go-to film on any day. Whenever I am having a bad day, I just need to watch Partner, and I will be okay. So, working with him is literally like living a dream."

    Details about her role have been kept under wraps as of now. The makers reportedly want to keep everything private till the release date. It also features Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Prateik Babbar. It is all set to hit the big screens on Eid 2025.
