Sivakarthikeyan may be playing the hero in AR Murugadoss's next project

Sivakarthikeyan may be playing the lead in veteran action director AR Murugadoss 's next project. While there was a rumor floating around that the director will be working with Silambarasan, it seems that the project may have been put on hold.

The actor has also been approached by Vijay's Varisu producers for their next venture in Tamil cinema. So Sivakarthikeyan fans have a lot to be happy about in 2023, the rising star of Tamil cinema has three other projects lined up for the new year.

Sivakarthikeyan is currently on the set of director Madonne Ashwin's 'Maaveeran'. The movie is an action thriller and the actor will be playing the role of a cartoon artist.

The movie will also be the first on-screen pairing of Sivakarthikeyan and actress Aditi Shankar. The actor's next big release is the science fiction comedy movie 'Ayalaan' in which he will star opposite Rakul Preet Singh.

'Ayalaan' is directed by R. Ravikumar, with music being composed by the legendary A.R Rahman, the movie is currently in post-production and is expected to hit theaters in 2023.

Sivakarthikeyan has also signed on for a movie with director Rajkumar Periyasamy, which will go into production as soon as the actor is done with his work on the post-production of Ayalaan.

As for Sivakarthikeyan project with Varisu producer Dil Raju, The yet-to-be-titled project will be directed by noted Telugu director Harish Shankar, known for movies like 'Gabbar Singh', and 'Duvvada Jagannadham'. His last movie was the 2019 movie 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh', which was a remake of the hit Tamil movie Jigarthanda.

Currently, the director is busy with his next project Ustaad Bhagat Singh which stars Pawan Kalyan and is a remake of the 2016 Vijay movie 'Theri'.

Considering director AR Murugadoss's track record If his project with Sivakarthikeyan does end up coming true, the movie will help catapult the actor as a bonified action star.
