Sonam Kapoor marks her 37th birthday 'at the cusp of motherhood', father Anil Kapoor shares childhood pictures of her with endearing note

On the occasion of her 37th birthday, mom-to-be Sonam Kapoor dropped a series of bold and beautiful photos of herself flaunting her baby bump. The fashionista marked her special day by choosing to wear what makes her feel ‘pregnant and powerful’.

The Neerja actress shared the pictures from the photoshoot with renowned fashion designers Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla. To note, Sonam is expecting her first child with her husband Anand Ahuja. The couple announced their pregnancy on Instagram with adorable photos earlier this year.

As the actress turned a year older, her father and actor Anil Kapoor took to his Instagram handle and posted throwback pictures from archives to wish her ‘darling girl’on her birthday. He said he won’t be able to be part of her birthday celebration, however, next time he will be there soon holding his grandchild. He also gave out parenthood advice for Sonam in the caption.

“Dear @sonamkapoor, If there's anything that makes up for not being able to celebrate your birthday with you this year, it's the anticipation that the next time we see you, we'll be that much closer to holding our grandchild in our arms!Parenthood is a see saw between being happy for your children as they create their own lives and being sad that they're not always around you anymore....you'll see for yourself soon enough! Happy birthday my darling girl! We can't wait to see you, Anand and our little prince(ss) soon!,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonam will next be seen in Shome Makhija's Blind . On the other hand, Anil Kapoor will be seen in Karan Johar ’s production venture JugJugg Jeeyo alongside Varun Dhawan , Kiara Advani , and Neetu Kapoor.
