Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland recalls asking Zendaya to accompany him on first meeting with Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield

Tom Holland has admitted he was 'nervous' getting together with previous Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire for the global blockbuster Spider-Man No Way Home.

In a recent interview, the actor spoke of his anticipation of working with Toby and Andrew. Holland had made his MCU debut as Spider-Man in 2016 with Captain America: Civil War .

In No Way Home, he united with both his predecessors Maguire who played Spider-Man in Sam Raimi's trilogy, and Garfield who played the role in The Amazing Spider-Man movies. We got to see the three-team up in the final act of the movie in an epic showdown against the supervillains from across the multiverse.

Interviewing with Garfield and Maguire for the first time together, Tom Holland talks about both being excited about meeting on set for the first time as well as describing how nervous he was that he asked co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon to stay by his side for support.

"It was very daunting because we were a long way into shooting before you guys showed up, you know, we were maybe 3 months into principal photography and ... the date of 'the other Spider-Mans are coming' was etched on my calendar, and I was getting closer and closer and closer, and you know, the closer and closer I got, the more and more nervous I was."

Describing his reaction after meeting the two stars he added, "And then as soon as I met you guys in Atlanta, I realized I had nothing to be nervous about ... At our first rehearsal, I had asked Jacob and Zendaya to come with me to just kind of be there as, like, my support system, like 'I'm gonna go meet these guys, I'm really nervous about it, we have to read the scene, and I don't know how this is gonna go because we're all playing the same character and we all have to bring our own kind of heart and soul into this and ... it means a lot to them and it means a lot to me."

The scene in No Way home when the three of them unite can be considered one of the biggest moments in recent pop culture history and will be talked about for a long time,

The events in the movie have changed the course of the fourth phase of the MCU as we are introduced into the multiverse and will likely see an appearance from some iconic characters from Marvel comics make their debut in the MCU.

Tom Holland is currently busy promoting his upcoming action-adventure movie Uncharted based on the successful video game franchise. In the movie Holland plays a young treasure hunter Nathan Drake who teams up with veteran treasure hunter Victor Sullivan played by Mark Wahlberg.
