Spider-Man star Tom Holland reveals he had to dragged out of his trailer as he'd be busy playing Uncharted on PlayStation

After the recent success of Spider-Man : No Way Home which has grossed over one billion dollars worldwide and is still going strong, actor Tom Holland made an appearance at the Sony CES press conference to talk about his upcoming film Uncharted which is set to release in February.

Uncharted is based on the popular and highly sucessfull video game franchise and follows the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake .

The movie will focus on a young Nathan Drake played by Tom Holland and his first encounter with his mentor Victor "Sully" Sullivan played by Mark Wahlberg.

Speaking at the press conference the actor said that the makers have put a lot of heart into making the film with lots of respect towards the game. He added that with Uncharterded the aim is to give fans of the game 'something new and something refreshing.'

He went on to say about the film,"It’s interesting in these big action movies, I often find that the heart and soul of the movie can be lost in the action. But what’s so nice about our movie is you have this very tangible relationship between Nate and Sully which is really the heart of the movie. … It’s about a young orphan looking for his family and in turn finding a family in the most sort of unorthodox way.”

Holland went on talk about his love for the Uncharted video games during his days shooting Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actor said that working on with Sony came with the luxury of all actors getting trailer fitted with the latest TV and PlayStations and he would use it to play Uncharted in the trailer. He added he had to be dragged out on sets for shots when he was in-between a mission as he was more keen on completing that first.

Uncharted is directed by Ruben Fleischer and the rest of the cast includes Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and Antonio Banderas, the movie will hit theaters on the 18th February 2022
