Taapsee Pannu is undoubtedly one of the finest and most versatile actors of the Hindi film industry. She has proved the same with her many phenomenal performances in the past. Take a look at her last few releases such as Thappad, Haseen Dillruba and Rashmi Rocket for instance. Well, in her next, Taapsee is challenging herself even more as an artist. She will be headlining the biopic of Mithali Raj , captain of India women's national cricket team, titled Shabaash Mithu . The teaser, which was unveiled by the makers some time back, certainly looks promising.

In a recent chat with BT, the actress admitted that she had a tough time figuring out the range to play this character. Taapsee was quoted saying, “I am a fish out of water when it comes to cricket. I hadn’t picked a bat in my life until I started prep for this film. I had to train for months. Also, besides learning the technique of the sport that I had never played, Mithali and I are polar opposites as people. Our personalities are drastically different. She is very poised, elegant and weighs every word as she speaks. I am the exact opposite.”

Taapsee further shared that this film was challenging for her mentally as well as physically because the team shot the cricket sequences for 10 hours a day. She even described it as ‘the most exhausting thing’ she has ever done. But she’s excited about how the film turns out. The actress went on to add, “This has been my hardest role till date for sure.” Well, that has definitely piqued our interest!

Other than Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee has many exciting projects in her kitty including Rajkumar Hirani ’s Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan , Anurag Kashyap ’s Dobaaraa and Blurr co-starring Gulshan Devaiah , among others.
