The Batman: Joel Edgerton And Josh Hartnett are in the running to play Harvey Dent aka Two Face in the sequel

According to a new rumor, actors Joel Edgerton And Josh Hartnett are being considered to play the role of Harvey Dent in the upcoming Batman sequel.

Joel Edgerton is known for his roles in the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi series and movies like Red Sparrow and Josh Hartnett for his roles in films like Wrath of Man, Dreamers, and the upcoming Oppenheimer.

Coincidently there are rumors that Harvey Dent will make an appearance in the upcoming Joker 2 as well. Both movies will be separate from the new DCU.

In an interview earlier this year director Matt Reeves revealed that the new heads of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran may have much bigger plans for Robert Pattison's Batman.

Currently, two spinoff series are being developed for HBO Max, with the first one, will be about Colin Farrell's Penguin and will be set after the events of the movie and his rise in power in Gotham City's criminal underworld.

Robert Pattinson's Batman will have a cameo in the series. The upcoming Batman spinoff series stars Colin Farrell, who will reprise his role and the planned Batman movie sequel.

The second spinoff will be based on the infamous Arkham Asylum, which holds most of Batman's iconic villains. At the end of the Batman movie, we saw Paul Dano's Riddler being sent to the asylum and being befriended by Barry Keoghan's Joker.

Matt Reeves is currently also working on a third spinoff for The Batman and in the past, he had expressed an interest to do a spinoff focusing on lesser-known Batman villains like Scarecrow, Clayface, and Professor Pyg.

There is also a rumor floating around that Robert Pattison's Batman will be facing off against Victor Freeze aka Mr. Freeze in the sequel.

Meanhwile the next big entry in the DCEu is The Flash and it will be hitting theaters worldwide on 16th June 2023.
