The actor is famous for his amazing performance as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and has gone on to play some memorable bad guys as John Edgar in The Boys and Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian .

Now the actor has revealed that he has talked to Marvel about a future role that could be Professor X , while the actor is known for playing 'The Bad Guy', it will be refreshing to see him play a heroic character.

In the past fans have often picked him for villain roles in both Marvel and DC properties, the most famous example is him being a top pick to play Doctor Doom.

If he gets the role he will be the third actor to portray Charles Xavier on the big screen, Professor X was introduced into the MCU in Doctor Strange 2, in which Patrick Stewart reprised his role.

Of course fans would be delighted if the news eventually becomes reality.

The actor confirmed he's met with Marvel Studios about a potential MCU role. "So, I have not worked for Marvel yet," Esposito said at the TJH Superhero Car Show & Comic Con in San Antonio, Texas. "I’ve been in a room with them and talked with them."

While the actor did not go into details about the meeting he did talk about some of his favorite fan casting picks

"So, there’s been talk of Magneto, there’s been talk of Dr. Freeze, there has been talk of, who else are they talking about over there? Oh, Doom! And there is Professor X."

"Pick one? I’m going to go for something that is a little bit different. I’m going to go and put it out in the universe that it is Professor X."

This does support the recent rumors that Marvel wants the actor to play Professor X in the MCU, after all he is more than capable of filling in the shoes of Patrick Stewart.

Hopefully we will get to known more about the future plans Marvel Studio has for Professor X and his X-Men in the coming months.
