The Flash star Ezra Miller issues apology for his behavior and promises to seek treatment
The actor broke his silence and apologized for his recent behavior and run-ins with the law.
The allegations against the actor have been mounting in the past few months and in a recent interview, the actor finally addressed the issue.
according to a recent report, Warner Bros has three plans on how to proceed with its upcoming The Flash movie, one of which involved Miller issuing a public apology.
So this apology could be due to the mounting pressure from the studio executives at Warner Bros, who have been in damage control mode since the first allegations came out.
In a statement to Variety, the actor spoke about the allegations against him
"Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
Multiple accusations of physical and verbal abuse, theft, breaking and entering, harassment, child endangerment, and more were leveled at the Justice League actor. Most recently, they were charged with felony burglary in Vermont.
Clearly, the studio is hoping that the apology will help in reducing public pressure against the upcoming movie which is set to release on June 23, 2023.
It remains to be seen how the statement will be received by the fans and whether or not the actor will be involved in promoting the movie before its release.
