Did Venkat Prabhu go overboard with references and cameos?
While many fans enjoyed the quirky references and whistle-worthy cameo appearances in the Vijay-starrer, some viewers argued that the director overshadowed the screenplay with these references. Many felt that although the film showcased good performances and interesting references, the plot did not capture the audience's attention, as much of the excitement stemmed from the surprises sprinkled throughout the film. However, despite these critiques, the movie continues to perform well at the box office and is generating impressive numbers.
Reportedly made on a staggering budget of Rs 400 crore, the film is produced by AGS Entertainment. In addition to Thalapathy Vijay, the film features a stellar cast, including Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Laila, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaran, Aravind Akash, and Ajmal Ameer.
