The latest stills from the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 tease an action-packed adventure

While these still did come out with the recent issue of Empire, an issue that focused on the latest adventure of world-famous archeologist Indian Jones. Disney has finally released the images online with the watermarks.

The upcoming movie was stuck in development hell for a long while with many delays and changes in both writers and directors, finally, James Mangold known for movies like Logan, Ford V Ferrari, and Walk the Line took over the project in 2020.

Since then the movie has been on track with fans receiving steady updates about the project such as it being set during the 1960s, that Harrison Ford will be de-aged for ac certain flashbacks sequences and that he will be taking on his old enemies the Nazis.

We now know a few more details about the major characters in the movie such as actor Shaunette Renée Wilson will be playing the role of Agent Mason with Boyd Holbrook playing the main villain's right-hand man Klaber.

Mads Mikkelsen will be playing the main antagonist of the movie as Doctor Jürgen Voller, who has a history with Indy and is based on the "father of space travel" Wernher von Braun.

John Rhys-Davies will be reprising his role as Sallah, one of Indiana Jones's closest friends and Phoebe Waller-Bridge of fleabag flame will be playing the role of Indiana Jones's goddaughter Helena Brody.

Director Mangold did tease that the movie will open with a stunning action sequence which will be a homage to the ealrier entires in the franchise and will have a de-aged Harrison Ford.

The new stills also gives us a look at an other action set peice set during the 1960s Apollo 11 parade in New York featuring Indiana Jones and Klaber.

The title of the fifth installment in the franchise has yet to be revealed but it is most likely we will get to know when the trailer drops and considering the speed at which we are receiving updates on the project that should be soon.

The movie is written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and directed by James Mangold with Steven Spielberg serving as producer.

Indiana Jones 5 will hit theaters on June 30, 2023.
