    The fourth installment in the Thor franchise manages to pick up the pace at the box office after yesterday's drop

    Thor: Love and Thunder had the second-best opening for a Marvel movie behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the fifth-best in the MCU .

    However, the movie's box office took a bit of a dive yesterday, mostly due to the mixed response the movie has received from critics.

    Currently, the movie has a 68% critics approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes but has an audience score of 81%.

    Thankfully the movie has picked up the pace at the box office both in the US as well as Internally.

    Thor: Love and Thunder is the sequel to the highly successful and critically acclaimed Thir: Ragnarok.

    Thor Love and Thunder managed to gross 69.5 million dollars from the American market and has grossed over 150 million worldwide.

    The Movie opened in 17 other markets with Australia having the highest collection of 7.9 million followed by the U.K. ($7.5 million), South Korea ($6.9 million), Mexico ($5.7 million), and India ($4.8 million). It opened on Friday in Spain ($1.3 million) and Japan ($1.5 million).

    Currently, Thor: Ragnarok still remains the highest gross movie in the franchise with over 850 million dollars worldwide followed by Thir: Dark World with 644 million, and finally Thor with 450 million globally.

    Hopefully, Thor Love and Thunder will be able to reach the top spot in the coming weeks.

    Takia Waititi returns to direct Thor 4 following his success with Thor: Ragnarok, the movie also marks the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Christian Bale's MCU debut as Gorr: The God Butcher.

    Thor: Love and Thunder is set after the events of Avengers: End Game and Follows the God of Thunder as he goes on a journey of self-discovery until he encounters a new threat called Gorr.

    Thor: Love and Thunder is currently running in theaters.
