The song is composed by Thaman S and is sung by nonother than actor STR aka Silambarasan. The song is a fiery tribute to Thalapathy Vijay and his 3-decade-long career.

The video has had over 450 thousand views in under 14 minutes and is sure to exceed the success of the previous single Ranjithame, which has over 7 million views on Youtube.

The lyrics for the song were written by Vivek, with the choreography performed by Sandy, who appears in the video alongside STR and recreates a few of Vijay's famous dance moves.

Composer Thaman S has once again exceeded expectations and created not only a chartbuster but also a fitting tribute to Thalapathy Vijay which helps build up the hype for Varisu when it hits theaters next year.

Varisu is a family entertainer similar to the actor's movies from the 90s. It is directed by Vamshi Paidipally, who will be collaborating with Vijay and the film also marks his Tamil debut.

Vamshi is known for directing many hits in the Telugu industry such as Munna, Oopiri, and the recent Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi. No doubt the director can recreate his success in the Telugu industry here as well.

Varisu will also mark the first time the actor will be paired with Rashmika Mandanna. The movie wrapped production in September and boasts an ensemble cast that includes Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Sangeetha, Khushbu, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Yogi Babu.

The movie has an estimated budget of 200 crores and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. With T-series acquiring the rights to the Hindi Version.

The movie will hit the big screen this Pongal and will clash at the Tamil box office with Ajith starrer Thunivu and will face off against Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya at the Telugu box office.

Fans will have to wait till January 12 when all three movies hit theaters to find out who will emerge on top.
