    The action movie has out-grossed Kamala Hassan's Vikram and Vijay's Beast in the Hindi belt by collecting one crore at the box office.

    The action movie which is stars Kuccha Sudeep in the lead as Inspector Vikrant Rona, who is put in charge of a murder investigation in a remote village.

    The movie directed by Anup Bhandari had managed to outgross movies like Vikram, 777 Charlie, and Beast in the Hindi belt.

    Vikrant Rona has managed to gross one crore on its opening day, whereas non of the movies mentioned above could cross the 50 lakh mark.

    However, the movie does have stiff competition from Ek Villian Returns and most likely not turn into the Pan-Indian blockbuster it set out to be.

    South Indian movies like Pushpa, RRR, and K.G.F 2, managed to do very well at the North Indian box office but it seems like the majority of the earnings for Vikrant Rona will be from Karnataka.

    Where the film was expected to open with around Rs 16-17 crore, according to an Ormax report. All-India figures were expected to be in the vicinity of Rs 40-Rs 45 crore, but the actual number could be much lower.

    According to a tweet by AndhraBoxoffice, it grossed Rs 2 crore in the region. They tweeted, "#VikrantRona has posted a Good opening in AP&TS by grossing around ₹2 Cr Apx in Total. Trending was on the raise through the day and many 3D shows have gone houseful by the night!"

    According to a tweet by the film's official handle, the film has a 91 percent rating on Book My Show, while it has a 9.6 rating on IMDB, hinting toward a favorable response at the box office.

    The movie was released in 17 languages worldwide and the cast includes Sudeep, Nirup Bhandari ,Neetha Ashok, and Jacqueline Fernandez .

    Vikrant Rona is currently running in theaters.
