Welcome 3: Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal to return along with a new ensemble cast?

Welcome is one Bollywood film franchise that comedy fans can’t get enough off. Already two films down, it has now been reported that a third film in the franchise might be on the way soon.

It has been reported by an entertainment portal that Welcome 3 is definitely on the cards and Nana Patekar , Paresh Rawal and Anil Kapoor whose characters in the franchise are now iconic, will be seen making a comeback for the third time.

While Firoz Nadiadwala will be producing the film which according to Pinkvilla sources will go on floors by the end of 2022, it has not yet been established which actors will make for the remainder of the ensemble. A confirmation on Anees Bazmee reclaiming his seat as director after Welcome and Welcome Back is also awaited.

It has been said though that the makers have plans of roping in a much bigger cast than we have seen in the previous films, which is saying something since Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and John Abraham have led the previous two films. Welcome 3, it has been said, will be an action comedy, which if true will already sets it apart from the previous two films in the franchise.

The first film of the franchise starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif , Mallika Sherawat, Firoz Khan , Supriya Karnik, Vijay Raaz and Snajay Mishra arrived in 2007 and remains a fan favorite till date. Welcome Back came 8 years later in 2015 with a whole new cast except, Paresh, Anil and Nana. The movie starred John Abraham, Shruti Hassan, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Shiney Ahuja, Ranjeet, Rajpal Yadav , Neeraj Vohra.
