Will Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha meet the same fate as Ranbir Kapoor's sinking comeback Shamshera at the box office?

With Boycott Bollywood once again trending on Twitter, haters now target Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha after declaring Ranbir Kapoor's recently released film Shamshera a flop.

Will Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha meet the same fate as Ranbir Kapoor's sinking comeback Shamshera at the box office?

Ranbir Kapoor marked his return to the big screen on Friday after a hiatus of 4 years. Despite going all out with the promotions of the film, the period action entertainer Shamshera which was four years in the making, has failed to entice audiences enough to flock cinema halls after releasing on Friday.

At the box office, Ranbir’s film was off to a slow start on Day 1 where the big budget entertainer collected Rs. 10.25 crores. While in comparison to other box office failures in recent months, the collections of Shamshera are much better, but looking at the overall picture the chances of the film pulling through at this rate seem bleak.

The verdict on Shamshera will be decided after the opening weekend is up but trouble seems to already be brewing over Aamir Khan starrer Forrest Gump remake Laal Singh Chaddha . ‘ Boycott Bollywood ' which has become popular trend on Twitter, once again flared up post Shamshera’s release and many netizens using the hashtag seem to now have Laal Singh Chaddha on their target list.

While these haters of Bollywood have already declared Shamshera to be a flop, they now demand that no body watches Laal Singh Chaddha. The Aamir Khan starrer has seen a favourable response from people after the release of its trailer and it is one of the biggest productions in Bollywood which people the industry have high hopes from.

Laal Singh Chaddha will release in cinemas on 11 August 2022. Aamir Khan’s performance is being looked forward to by people as he also will mark his return to the big screen after a gigantic failure like Thugs of Hindostan in 2018. It is crucial for Aamir to score a big hit and thus such hatred on the web could seriously hurt the film’s chances at the box office.
