    Allu Arjun ’s Pushpa: The Rise wowed the audiences with its performance, songs and dialogues and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2021. Following the massive success, the makers have now commenced the shooting of its second part Pushpa: The Rule .

    Similar to the cast of the first part, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna will be headlining the upcoming Pushpa 2. However, it was speculated that actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu who impressed fans with her impeccable dance number Oo Antava will not be part of the second part. Instead, Bollywood actor Disha Patani would be replacing her. In a recent development, the makers are now reconsidering Samantha for Pushpa 2.

    According to Pinkvilla’s close insider, the makers are keen to cast Samanth following the positive reception of her cameo in the hit song Oo Antava. “Everyone loved Samantha in the song, and the makers are keen to cast her in Pushpa 2 as well for another special number. However, they will approach her once they have finalised the track. The music as of now is still being composed.” the source said.

    The action sequences in Pushpa 2 are also expected to be enormous and even better than in the first installment, added the source. It is being also reported that Samantha may play a significant part in the Pushpa 2. However, no official confirmation and statement from performers or makers on the matter has been issued so far.

    Meanwhile, the Sukumar directorial Pushpa: The Rise was released worldwide on December 17, 2021, in five different languages. It was one of the biggest releases after the pandemic-induced lockdown was lifted. As per reports, the movie earned Rs 184.62 Crore at the global box office on its full run. Besides Allu and Rashmika, the film also featured Rao Ramesh, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Ajay, Ajay Ghosh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
