Zwigato Trailer: Kapil Sharma’s versatility is refreshing but his story as a food delivery rider is heartbreaking

After making it big in the entertainment industry as a comedian, host and anchor, Kapil Sharma set out to make his name in Hindi cinema. He made his acting debut with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and went on to tickle our funny bones in Firangi. But we have even higher expectations from his next release. Titled Zwigato , the drama film has been helmed by the very talented Nandita Das . A new trailer was dropped today by the makers which proves that she managed to do something no fan expected– Das brought out the actor in Kapil.

As we know by now, the film revolves around a factory manager who loses his job and ends up becoming a rider for a food-delivery app. In the new trailer, we see Kapil live his character on-screen, which is very refreshing. However, his day to day life and emotional story, where he gets lost in the world of ratings and incentives, is heartbreaking to watch. Meanwhile his on-screen wife, the very versatile Shahana Goswami , finds herself taking up odd jobs like that of a masseuse to run the house.

May it be his happiness on making eight deliveries, taking a break from work to flirt with his wife or finally showing his frustration to his boss and taking a stand for himself– Kapil has portrayed every emotion with utter perfection. It is a delight to watch him perform. In the comment section of this trailer, several fans lauded the comedy king for his versatility. One comment read: “It's so so Emotional Trailer 🥺 Laga nai tha hmare comedian kabhi rula bhi sakte hai 🥺 love you ❣️KAPIL SHARMA ❣️”, whereas another social media user wrote: “Comedy king is now a film star ✨ Emotional trailer 🥺 Love you kapil paaji ❤️.”

After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival, Zwigato is all set to arrive in theaters on 17th March. We can’t wait!
