61st National Film Awards for 2013 announced; Ship of Theseus, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Shahid among winners

The much-awaited awards acknowledging the best talents in the nationwide film industry, National Film Awards, have been announced for the 61st time by the Directorate of Film Festivals. The ceremony will be held on May 3. Bollywood films like Ship of Theseus, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Shahid have been honoured for their contribution to Indian cinema.

While Ship of Theseus has been named the Best Feature Film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has won on the popularity meter. Another film, Shahid, has won double trophies for best direction as well as best acting. Congratulations poured in as soon as Shahid actor Rajkummar Rao has been announced the best actor. His Kai Po Che! director Abhishek Kapoor tweeted, “@raj_kumar31 U Giant of an actor. Congrats on the #nationalaward. V proud if u.”

• Best Director ( Non-Feature) - Pranjal Dua, Chidiya Udh
