A Ghost Story trailer: You'll be talking about this Casey Affleck film for days

Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck star in the romantic drama A Ghost Story, in which Affleck’s character dies and comes back as a ghost to help his former partner get over the loss. The thing is that when she does move on, he’s stuck with nothing to do.

In 2016, Rooney Mara was Academy Award nominated for her supporting role in Carol and Casey Affleck won Best Actor for his performance in Manchester by the Sea.

Now they appear as partners separated by the great divide, death, in A Ghost Story, re-uniting with director David Lowery, who worked with them in 2013’s Ain’t Them Bodies Saints.

A Ghost Story opened at the Sundance Film Festival in January to positive response. A Ghost Story is scheduled to be released on July 7, 2017, on the same day as Spider-Man: Homecoming.
