Sidharth And Alia Fans, Here's An Update On ‘Aashiqui 3’ For You!

Earlier media reports were doing rounds that filmmaker Mahesh, who gave the classic Aashiqui and produced the blockbuster 'Aashiqui 2', was planning a third instalment to the franchise. However, for the film which was never confirmed by the makers, there were speculations that Sidharth and his daughter Alia will feature. Sorry fans, ‘Aashiqui 3’ isn’t happening!

When axed about directing Alia for the first time in the film, Mahesh, putting end to all the rumours, said, “Well there’s nothing serious going in that area as since some time it’s been rumored that she is playing lead in Aashiqui 3. We are as of now nowhere close to say that it’s happening. The day it happens I’ll be the first person to proclaim that I’m working with Alia Bhatt but we as of now have no such plans to make a film called Aashiqui because we’re nowhere close to an idea which is called as go idea and only when an idea gets a hurrah from all of us as in idea to invest in we’ll not make a beginning.”

Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor brought the ‘Aashiqui’ thrill back on the screen as a sequel in 2013. Since then, there are gushes about the third instalment. Now we know that the film isn’t really happening; at least not any time soon. Let’s just wait and see.
