Abetment Charges Framed Against Sooraj Pancholi In Jiah Khan’s Death Case

It was shocking to the whole film industry when actress Jiah Khan’s suicide came to light. Later her mother accused Pancholi of murdering Jiah and sought him to be booked on charges of murder claiming that her daughter was killed and she had not committed suicide. And latest news reveals that on January 30, a sessions court had framed charges against the actor for allegedly abetting the suicide of his then girlfriend Jiah Khan in 2013.

However, actor Sooraj Pancholi pleaded not guilty. Pancholi’s lawyer confirmed, “He pleaded not guilty and summons will be issued to witnesses by court on February 14". Moreover, CBI had filed a charge stating, “The wilful conduct of the accused has been narrated in the note of Nafisa Rizvi alias Jiah Khan, and her intimate relationship, physical abuse, mental and physical torture by Sooraj, which she experienced, allegedly led the deceased to commit suicide”.

Further, as per CBI reports Pancholi had hidden facts and had given fictionalised information when he was enquired. Meanwhile, the CBI had also recovered a note written by Jiah Khan, where she has revealed about her intimate relationship with Sooraj Pancholi, but the note wasn’t addressed to anyone. On the night of Jiah’s death, records reveal that Pancholi had sent abusive SMSs and had a small chat with Jiah Khan. Later, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan of the bedroom by her mother when she returned.
