Acting Was Harder Back Then Than It Is Now: Anil Kapoor

After doing Welcome Back two years ago, actor Anil Kapoor is back on silver screen with Anees Bazmee’s romantic comedy film Mubarakan. This is for the first time that the actor will share screen space with his nephew, actor Arjun Kapoor. The uncle-nephew duo recently appeared on the children’s singing dance reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Season 6 to promote their upcoming flick.

Recalling an incident from the sets of 1985 film Meri Jung, the actor said, “The scene in which I had to confront Amrish ji was decided at 2 p.m. and given to me at 4 p.m. The director, Subhash Ghai, told me that we will start shoot in an hour’s time and I only had that much time to prepare. Anil said at first he was apprehensive about shooting the scene, but later agreed to do it”.

Anil further added that acting was not easy during his time. He said, “Back then, acting was not as easy as it is now. In today’s times, the actors get their script almost six months in advance whereas earlier, we would be given the scripts just in the nick of time”. On a related note, the flick will hit the theatres on July 28.
