Aditya Chopra To Return to Director’s Chair With ‘Befikre’

The long awaited news is finally here. Yash Raj Films, on the occasion of Yash Chopra's' 83rd birth anniversary, has finally announced that Aditya Chopra is returning to the director’s chair with project titled ‘Befikre’. Aditya Chopra, through the official Twitter handle of YRF, posted an imaginary conversation with his dad about the project, which ended with, “So with the blessings of my father, on his 83rd birth anniversary, I am announcing my next directorial venture after seven years. Befikre - Those who dare to love”.

The imaginary conversation further reveals that the script of the flick has already been penned down. Going away from the trend of dramatic, intense and emotional genre, Aditya’s next directorial is a “light-hearted romance; happiest movie; youngest, riskiest film”. Aditya has also revealed through the conversation that he is working on several other projects.

Chopra’s last project as a director was Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, which released in 2008. YRF is known for making big banner and big budget films, which makes big numbers at the box office. But ‘Befikre’ seems to be different. It won’t be made to chase numbers but will be made to out of the love for the art. Further information is awaited.
