After the ‘pleasant’ ZNMD experience, Eros bags rights for Zoya’s Dil Dhadakne Do

After a wonderful box office experience that Eros International had with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the production is all set to back director’s next as well. According to reports, Eros has bagged the rights of Excel’s next Dil Dhadakne Do and this time, for a whooping cost. The company has also bought another of Excel productions ‘Bangistan’.

While the deal seals the fate of the two films going out for a heavy cost, Eros seems to have banked on the kind response Zoya’s earlier film ZNMD garnered. The two films that have been sold are also very different in appeal. While Dil Dhadakne Do is a multi starrer drama starring Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Shefali Shah, Bangistan is a comedy with Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat in the lead.

Confirming the deal, Jyoti Deshpande, CEO of Eros International Media Ltd stated, "After a successful association for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, we are happy to once again partner with Excel who are known to make films that entertain as well as consistently offer a fresh take on cinema. Dil Dhadakne Do and Bangistan are looking extremely promising and we are looking forward to showcase these films internationally through our digital and distribution network". Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel also expressed his pleasure on joining hands with the group. "We are happy to collaborate with Eros for these two exciting projects and present them on a worldwide platform through their outstanding distribution network", he said. Both films will release in mid 2015.
