    Airlift, the film based on the evacuation of 1,70,000 Indians during the 1990 invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, has ignited the sense of patriotism in the citizens and is benefiting from its release around the Republic Day. The Akshay Kumar-Nimrat Kaur starrer film has received all the applause from the critics and the audiences. The action-thriller movie has crossed Rs. 50 crore mark in just 4 days of its release.

    The movie minted Rs. 12.35 crores on Friday, Rs. 14.60 crores on Saturday and Rs. 17.35 crores on Sunday. On Monday the film collected Rs. 10.40 crores, which makes a total collection of Rs. 54.70 crores. The IMDB rating for Airlift is 9.5/10, which is remarkable.

    The cast and the crew of the flick are extremely happy with the response to Airlift. Akshay wrote in a tweet, “I don't know how to Thank You all for every ounce of all ur Love & Support for #Airlift, feeling extremely humbled”. Helmed by Raja Krishna Menon, the flick also stars Purab Kohli in a prominent role.
