Airlift Fame Feryna Wazheir Bags International Project Alongside Irrfan Khan

Feryna Wazheir who played Kuwaiti damsel in Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift has bagged an international project in which she will star alongside Irrfan Khan. The film is an adaptation of Mohammed Hanif’s book ‘A Case of Exploding Mangoes’, which is about plane crash that killed former Pakistani President General Zia ul-Haq. The British-Asian actress will essay the role of General's wife Begum Shafiq Zia in the film which is to be helmed by Hammad Khan.

The actress says that it is like a dream come true to star opposite Irrfan. “It's my dream to work with Irrfan. I've watched all his films, from Maqbool to The Lunchbox”, she said.

Feryna Wazheir is looking forward to another international project which is Dubai-based filmmaker Manav Bhalla’s ‘Lashtam Pashtam’. The flick also stars Om Puri and Tisca Chopra. Feryna is playing an Afghani woman in this movie.
