Aishwarya Rai Bachchan To Play Nargis Dutt’s Role In Raat Aur Din Remake

A few days ago it was reported that Siddharth Anand is remaking director Satyen Bose’s cult film Raat Aur Din. The black-and-white classic which released in 1969 starred actress Nargis Dutt which even fetched her National award. The legendry actress essayed the role of a woman with a split personality in the film.

And now it has come to light that the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will reprise the legendry actress’ role in the remake. Producer Prernaa Arora said, “It’s too early to talk about this project. But I’d like to say it would be a tremendous challenge for Aishwarya to play a role for which Nargis is remembered to this day. Let’s not forget, Raat Aur Din was Nargis’ swansong. She never returned to acting after this film. Her fans still remember her in this movie It’s her most iconic role after Mother India and I’m proud to be associated with this film.”

Iconic songs from the original Raat Aur Din will also be used in the remake. Apart from Raat Aur Din remake, Ash will also be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Fanne Khan along with her Taal co-star Anil Kapoor . The movie will see her playing a diva singer romancing Rajkummar Rao .
