Akshay Kumar Has Special Role In Neeraj Pandey’s Upcoming

After collaborating for 'Rustom', 'Baby' (2015) and 'Special 26' (2013), Akshay Kumar and director-producer Neeraj Pandey are set to team up once again. If recent reports are to be trusted, the A Wednesday maker offered a small role for his upcoming to Khiladi Kumar, who was impressed with the role and gave a nod without much ado. The previous projects helmed by the filmmaker and starring the ace actor garnered positive reviews from the critics as well as the audiences.

A source close to the development was quoted as saying, "Neeraj discussed the subject with Akshay and shared the story idea with him. There is an interesting character in the film which has a strong impact and as soon as Akshay heard about it, he immediately agreed to do it”. The movie is touted to be based on a RAW agent.

Akshay will soon be seen in ‘Rustom’, which is being helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Neeraj. The movie is scheduled for release on August 12 this year. The music for the flick has been composed by Ankit Tiwari, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Jeet Gannguli and Raghav Sachar. The lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir, who wrote the words of a popular song 'Galliyan’ from 'Ek Villain'.
