Akshay Kumar jokes about Karan Johar’s acting in Bombay Velvet

Anurag Kashyap’s dream project has failed at the box office and a lot have been said about the film. Recently, at the launch of Brother’s trailer, Akshay Kumar took a dig at Karan Johar’s acting. It seems the film is gonna haunt Karan Johar for quite some time now.

Akshay Kumar pulled Karan Johar’s leg by saying, “Karan, just because you have worn a velvet coat today doesn't mean you are an actor”. To which the producer-director replied, “Why are you throwing salt on someone's wounds?”. Akshay jokingly said, “I was mum all this while, but you provoked me to say this”.

This all happened at the launch of Brothers’ trailer, which release recently. The film is produced by Dharma Productions and stars Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles. Interestingly, Bombay Velvet flopped at the box office but Karan Johar’s negative role has earned all the praises. Karan has previously done cameo roles in films that include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Om Shanti Om, Fashion, and Luck by Chance.
