Akshay Kumar Requites Words Of Appreciation To Salman Khan On Being Called 'The Real Sultan'

Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar entertained their fans with their antics in the 2004 romantic comedy, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. It goes without saying that the two superstars are the crowning glories of Bollywood. But, when it comes to being referred as Sultan or the king of the film industry, the Kick actor, who played the role of Sultan Ali Khan in his recent blockbuster ‘Sultan’, believes that his co-star and friend Akshay is the real Sultan of Indian cinema. During a promotional event of the romantic sports-drama, Salman went all praise for the Airlift actor for doing back to back three hit films an year.

Recently, during a press interaction, Akshay was asked about his views on the compliment he received from Bollywood’s Bhaijaan. To this, the macho hunk replied, "I think it’s his greatness that he said something like this. That shows how large-hearted guy he is. I would not say this. I did MMA in Brothers, wo nahi chali but Sultan uski chal gayi (laughs). So he is the real Sultan”.

In a world where contemporaries are competitors, Salman and Akshay seem to be unstoppable while heaping praises on each other. We seldom see actors of the same generation rhapsodizing about one another. On a related note, Akshay’s ‘Rustom’ is all set to hit silver screens on August 12.
