Akshay Kumar signs Salman Khan’s ex-manager Reshma Shetty

Actor Salman Khan’s ex manager Reshma Shetty has been roped in by actor Akshay Kumar. Shetty, who runs the celebrity management firm, Matrix, was working with Salman Khan for nine years and is said to have been responsible for getting him several big-ticket endorsements, TV shows and films . There were reports of their fall-out, earlier this year.

A speculated reason for Salman to have ended his contract with Shetty, who almost became synonymous with the former’s rise in Bollywood, was her alleged tiff with Salman’s brother, filmmaker-actor Sohail Khan. Salman has since returned to his brother managing his business, instead of hiring a replacement for Shetty.

Akshay signing up Shetty comes at a time when he has given several back-to-back hits in the last two years. It is to be seen if Reshma Shetty’s purported clout in the industry can help the already successful Khiladi in getting high profiled TV shows and more endorsements.

When contacted, Akshay confirmed the news, but refused to divulge details.
