Akshay Kumar stayed away from action movies for his son

New Delhi -- Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who is returning to his favourite genre of action movies after a long gap with Prabhu Devas Rowdy Rathore, says he avoided kicking and boxing in films after the birth of his son Aarav to ensure his happiness and well being. The Bollywood star said, Its been some two to three years that I have stayed away from action movies. Its because when my son (Aarav) was two years old, I was scared that what if something happened to methats why I was off action. He added, Every father would understand the emotion behind the decision of withdrawing from action because nothing else matters for parents than the childrens happiness and well-being. But, now the actor is ready for the new inning as his son is 9-year-old and Akshay feels even if something happens to him, Aarav can do something. So I am back to action, and absolutely ready for another innings, added the star, who is presently busy in promoting Sajid Khans Housefull 2 releasing on April 5.
