Akshay Kumar To Play Lead In Satirical Comedy Toilet - Ek Prem Katha

Appreciated for portraying serious characters in his recent flicks, such as Airlift and Brothers, superstar Akshay Kumar will be next seen in a satirical comedy flick. The name of the movie has been decided and will be called Toilet - Ek Prem Katha. The film will be directed by talented Special 26 filmmaker Neeraj Pandey.

The movie will deal with the current sanitation and hygiene issues in second most populous country in the world. It will also take on much talked about ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’, a cleanliness drive initiated by honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The team has however not shared the details of character to be played by the Hera Pheri actor.

The flick will be a light hearted comedy that will aim to highlight the serious concern that is caused by pollution. The Toilet - Ek Prem Katha is written by Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram Leela fame writers Garima and Siddhartha. It is produced by Abundantia Entertainment along with Friday Filmworks.
