Akshay Kumar’s Padman Rakes In Huge Amount Before Release

Akshay Kumar undoubtedly knows how to mind his business. The actor, who is consistently delivering flick worth 100 crores and more, is all set to make more money with his upcoming flicks. In the beginning of the year, Akshay revealed his movies that would release in the year and we know his biggest release has to be 2.0 alongside Rajinikanth.

The last we heard about Robot 2.0 was that it has raked in a prodigious Rs 110 crore from its satellite rights whereas Baahubali 2 earned a huge amount of Rs 80 crore from its satellite rights. The flick 2.0 has been made with an estimated budget of 4 billion which makes it the most expensive Indian film till date. And now, one of Akshay’s other movies, Padman, has also been sold for a colossal amount. 

If reports are to be believed, distribution rights of Padman have been picked up for a huge price by Sony. Twinkle Khanna turns producer with this film and will be bankrolling it.  Helmed by R Balki, the story is about a man who started making sanitary napkins at low cost for the women in villages. The film will be Radhika’s first film with Akshay.
