Akshay Replaces Sushant Singh Rajput In Omung Kumar’s Next?

Rumours were doing the rounds that Sarbjit director Omung Kumar is considering to rope in Sushant Sigh Rajput for his next film but there seems to be a change in plan. According to the latest reports, the filmmaker has now approached Akshay Kumar for the movie, which is touted to be a psychological thriller. However, nothing is official as yet.

It is said that the Mary Kom director has already talked about the film to Khiladi Kumar, who has apparently liked the plot of the movie. However, a final narration of the script is yet to be done and only then the deal will be locked. Akshay is currently busy shooting for the sequel of Robot along with superstar Rajinikanth and has a few more projects lined up after that. So it is expected that the shooting of the Omung Kumar directorial will begin only after the Airlift star completes his pending projects.

About the flick, Omung had earlier revealed at an event, “I am doing a psychological-thriller next. The film will go on floors this year. It is a fantastic thriller which will be an actor’s dream role. It won’t be a female-oriented film”. After making two biopics, Omung Kumar is changing track and trying his hands on a psychological thriller. Given the success of his last two releases, the expectations from this one are sky high.
