Ali Quli Mirza: ‘I Was Offered To Play the Role of Chand Nawab’

After speculations doing the rounds that Aamir Khan was offered Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bigg Boss fame Ali Quli Mirza has also confessed that he was offered the role of journalist Chand Nawab (performed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui) in the Kabir Khan directorial. Ali said that Kabir wanted to cast him; but due to the extended shoot of Bigg Boss 8, the Badlapur actor was roped in.

Ali Quli Mirza told TOI, “I was offered to play the role of Chand Nawab, which was eventually done by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. But then Bigg Boss got extended by a month, and by that time, the film had already gone on floors. Once I came out of the house, Kabir sir offered me other roles in the film, but they weren't that prominent”.

He further hinted that he might star in Kabir Khan’s upcoming projects. Ali Quli Mirza said, “Salman sir, whom I consider my mentor, also then suggested that I work with Kabir in his upcoming projects. Inshallah, that will happen soon”.
