Alia Bhatt In Meghna Gulzar’s Next To Be Produced By Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar is in talks of collaborating with another production house for a film. The film is Meghna Gulzar’s next which is based on a book called Calling Sehmat written by Harinder Sikka. Calling Sehmat is an espionage-thriller which rotates around the life of a Kashmiri girl who is married to a Pakistani army officer.

Guess who KJo has approached to play the female lead in the movie? None other than Alia Bhatt. Apparently, Alia was a little hesitant to do the movie as she had doubt whether she will do justice the character or not. However, Karan later convinced her after hearing the script.

Now since Karan is co-producing the film, whom Alia considers her Godfather, how can 24-year-old say no to the film. It is believed that Karan will start shooting for the movie in July. The Dear Zindagi actress is currently filming for Ayan Mukerji’s Dragon with Ranbir Kapoor. She also has Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy in her kitty. In Gully Boy, Alia is paired opposite Ranveer Singh.
