    Everyone knows that Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal have been roped in by filmmaker Meghna Gulzar for her next film titled Raazi. Till now we only knew that the movie is based on a book, Calling Sehmat by Harinder Sikka, which revolves around a real life story of a 20-year-old Kashmiri girl who is married to a Pakistani military officer. The woman spies for the Indian Intelligence. The story is set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

    However, now we have got greater insight about the movie. The film will start rolling by the end of next of month. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Alia Bhatt revealed how she prepared for the role. Since she is playing a Kashmiri girl, therefore she would be learning Kashmiri dialect. Alia would also be speaking Urdu with a Kashmiri twang. She also talked about learning self defence techniques, changing her demeanour and be more feminine. To gain more knowledge about her role, she is also reading the book Calling Sehmat. Alia said since girls during that time period were a little shy, therefore her character demands her to be more feminine.


    “It has helped me add extra layers to my character. The script is a lovely adaptation of the book, which is extensive; it has a lot of stories. I just wanted to get the backstory right in my head.” Being such a sensitive topic that would definitely irk the sensitive nerves of politicos, when the diva was asked if she was apprehensive, she stated the fact, “It’s a true and novel story to be a part of so I had no reservations,” said the Shaandar actress.
