Alia Bhatt Steps Into Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Shoes For Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’?

Ever since Alia Bhatt made her smacking entry in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’, she has been often compared to Kareena Kapoor Khan. Perhaps, it was due to the similarity between Alia’s role as Shanaya in the flick and Kareena’s part of Pooja aka Poo in KJo’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...’. If recent reports are to be trusted, the Highway actress might replace the Ki & Ka star in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal film series’ fourth iteration, which is touted to be titled ‘Golmaal Again’.

Kareena has starred in two of the instalments of the series; ‘Golmaal Returns’ and ‘Golmaal 3’. But this time she won’t be able to make it due to her pregnancy. According to SpotBoye, Alia will be playing the love interest of Ajay Devgn in the film. Reportedly, Rohit also had a word with the 23-year-old actress regarding the role.

The movie is expected to go on the floors in November and is scheduled for a Diwali release next year. Alia and Kareena were said to have strikingly similar traits but it was during the trailer launch of ‘Udta Punjab’, wherein both the sizzling actresses were seen, Shahid Kapoor shared his thoughts saying that there are no comparisons or similarities between the two as they both are different and have done phenomenal work.
