Alia Bhatt To Star In Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi'

Bollywood starlet Alia Bhatt was last seen in movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. The actress will be coming back to the big screen in the movie titled as ‘Raazi’. The upcoming flick is helmed by Meghna Gulzar.

The filmmaker has previously directed Talvar. The upcoming movie is based on the novel ‘Calling Sehmat’ authored by Harrinder Sikka. The storyline of the movie revolves around a Kashmiri girl getting married to an army officer across the border. The officer provides the Indian intelligence with secret information during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Regarding the movie, the director was quoted as saying, 'Raazi' is a synonym of `sehmat' which also means agreeable". The movie also stars Vicky Kaushal. The movie will be shot in Punjab, Kashmir and Mumbai from the month of July. ‘Raazi’ will be bankrolled by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions.
