Alia Bhatt To Star Opposite Varun Dhawan In Abhishek Varman’s ‘Shiddat’?

If you have been guessing who’ll star opposite heartthrob Varun Dhawan in 2 States director Abhishek Varman’s next, we’ve got the answer for you. Earlier, reports of Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor doing the film were doing the rounds but according to what we hear the latest, Varun will be paired opposite his first-ever co-star on screens, Alia Bhatt. The movie will be produced by Karan Johar.

A source confirmed that Alia is indeed doing the film with Varun. Reportedly, Abhishek and Karan have been working on the script from past couple of months. The movie is said to be in its premature stage right now. The film is touted to be a two-hero flick and speculations are rife that Aditya Roy Kapur might play the other male lead. But, no official announcements have been made as of now.

Varun and Alia have displayed their sizzling chemistry on screens earlier in ‘Student of the Year’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. The two undoubtedly make a perfect couple and we just can’t wait to see them reuniting for the upcoming project. On a related note, Varun is currently busy with ‘Judwaa 2’, scheduled for a September release.
