Alia Bhatt Will Head To Kashmir To Shoot For Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’

We had earlier reported that Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film ‘Raazi’. The movie which is based on Harinder Sikka's bestselling novel, ‘Calling Sehmat’ will see actor Vicky Kaushal opposite the Shandaar actress. ‘Raazi’ is based on a Kashmiri spy, played by Alia, who gets married to a Pakistani army officer, played by Vicky.

Since the movie as well as the novel is based in Kashmir, therefore the makers planned to shoot it in the Valley. However, later it was reported that the makers will recreate Kashmir in Mumbai because of the disturbance going in the city. They wanted to recreate Kashmir in Mumbai due to safety measures. But, now a source has revealed that the makers will shoot the movie in Kashmir.

"Kashmir is definitely one of the places where Raazi will be shot. The novel by Harinder Sikka — on which the film is based — is largely based in Kashmir. If there were security issues, Meghna would never have agreed to film the novel. She won’t translocate the novel to a studio,” revealed a source. Filmmaker Vishal Bhatdwaj who has shot films like Haider and 7 khoon Maaf in Kashmir is making arrangements for Alia’s safety in Kashmir.
