Alia Bhatts launch pad is Karan Johar, says Mahesh Bhatt

Mumbai -- Karan Johars upcoming movie has got a fresh face - Alia Bhatt, daughter of veteran director-producer Mahesh Bhatt. "Alia is lucky to get a break with Karan Johar. He is an A-grade filmmaker who has a passion and platform and makes the kind of movies that the masses like," Bhatt told PTI. "She is a young girl, just 18 years old and out of school, and that's the right kind of vehicle for her. She didn't have to work towards it, it just happened," he mentioned. Bhatt has appreciated Alias launch by Johar who directed the rom-com Student of the Year and also stars debutants Varun Dhawan, David Dhawans younger son and Siddharth Malhotra. He denies any hidden agendas for the launch of his daughter in the film industry.
