Amitabh Bachchan helps debt-ridden farmers of Wardha district

Wardha -- Debt-ridden farmers of the Vidarbha region were handed over cheques by local MP Datta Meghe amounting to nearly Rs 30 lakhs on behalf of Big B. The financial aid was provided to 114 farmers from twenty villages in Wardha district in order to clear their debts ranging between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 1,50,000. Union Bank of India, State Bank of India, Bank of India and Wardha District Co-operative Bank had provided crop loan to farmers. The cause was appreciated by NGO Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti.
