Anees Bazmee Underpaid; Walks Out Of Welcome Franchise

Welcome Back has just released and the makers of the film have already planned for a third sequel. As per the latest reports, director Anees Bazmee, who helmed the previous two instalments, will not be directing the third chapter. The rumours are rife that Anees feels that he is not being paid as much as he deserves.

A source was quoted as saying, “Anees had payment issues. He feels he was underpaid despite working hard to make both the films successful”. The director has walked out of Firoz Nadiadwala production.

It is said that Welcome Back was much more ambitious than the original film. As per the critics, Anees Bazmee has paid more attention to the grandeur of sets instead and not on the chemistry between the stars. The film, starring John Abraham and Shruti Haasan in lead roles, has minted around Rs. 65 crores as of now.
