Aneez Bazmee talks about Aankhen 2

Ace director Anees Bazmee recently provided glimpse of his upcoming project, Aankhen 2. Bazmee revealed, "Part two will start from where Part one left off, Amitabh Bachchan getting released from jail and recruiting three new blind men". The flick is produced by Gaurang Doshi who announced the remake in 2006.

With Akshay Kumar being occupied with Brothers, Airlift and Housefull 3, the makers of Aankhen 2 have roped in John Abraham for the sequel to the 2002 thriller drama. It will be a treat for the fans of the Jism star as they will get to see him in all new avatar of a blind man. The flick has a role specially designed for Anil Kapoor, but he won’t be playing a blind man.

As Bachchan Sahab is the only actor reprising his role, the Ready director addresses Shahenshah as the soul of the film. The original was the adaptation of Shah’s own play, Andhalo Pato, with blind protagonists. Directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Aankhen had an ensemble cast of Big B, Akky, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen.
