Anurag Kashyap to enact a police officer in Ghoomkethu

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will again be landing to acting in an upcoming flick titled Ghoomkethu. The director, who will portray the role of a police officer, confirmed the news commenting, "As an actor you must learn to laugh at yourself. People tend to blackmail me emotionally to act in their films. We have shot almost the entire film, except for few portions. I am playing a lazy cop in the film."

Directed by debutant Pushpendra Mishra, the film is a comedy ride of lead actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who comes to Mumbai to fulfil his dreams. Nawazuddin will be paired with TV actress Ragini Khanna in the female lead. Pushpendra confirmed the same saying, “We have roped in Ragini Khanna for this film. She will be seen opposite Nawazuddin in this film. It’s a very fun film. We have almost shot the major portion of the film and the last few portions will be shot in Mumbai.”
Meanwhile, it is heard that mega star Amitabh Bachchan can also be seen in the flick but there is no confirmation so far. "We want him in the film, but nothing is confirmed yet....we are trying our level best," says Kashyap. The maker first acted in 2007 movie Black Friday and currently, he is involved in three forthcoming ventures Bombay Velvet, Hasee Toh Phasee and Doga.
