Anushka Sharma playing dual character in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet

An upcoming drama film directed by Anurag Kashyap is making news every day. It was earlier revealed that Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka are playing lead roles while Karan Johar, who is playing an antagonist will turn actor through this flick. Jab Tak Hain Jaan’s Akira Rai is essaying a jazz singer as one of her characters. The actress has previously worked in four films before but gained publicity from its first movie itself. She was nominated for Filmfare awards in two categories for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Bombay Velvet has shot its first schedule in Sri Lanka and the crew is moving for Kolkata for the second schedule. Produced by Phantom Films and Fox Star Studios, the film is a story of transformation in a city from the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz to becoming a metropolis. The film is a long cherished dream of filmmaker from past nine years.
